The Golden Filter - Hide Me and NYC Show

One of my most-anticipated albums of the first half of 2010 comes from The Golden Filter. Voluspa will see a release on April 26 via Brille. Having heard a small handful of demos, and subsequently, a dash of mastered tracks, it's safe to say I'm completely enamored with what can only be considered an eventual dive into discodubby delirium.

Yesterday, the New York duo gifted their fans with a completed version of their song, Hide Me, which will appear on the band's debut album. It will also serve as the first official single from the release.

In it's previous demo-form, Hide Me centered on a pulsing beat with complimentary vocals. With a number of listenings through the final version, the adjustments made to finalize the track are 100% well-received. Whispers snake in and out of loopy synths that envelop the ears. Big fan here.

The Golden Filter will play Brooklyn Bowl on Saturday, February 20. Nancy Whang, of LCD Soundsystem and The Juan MacLean, supports with a DJ set. Get your tickets here.

"I love the fresh new intro, and all the crystal clear syncopathed groove but this single version is shorter and lacks of that tasty and provocative synth-solo at the ending. So evident in the demo version.

Anyway, good for us! We now have 2 amazing versions!"
