SXSW 2011: First Round of Official Performers Announced

CMJ is barely behind us, but it's already time to start looking forward to the festival season forthcoming in 2011. First up, we've got SXSW, the week when NYC transplants to Austin, TX for a tiring and tremendously awesome set of days filled with music, friends and lots of barbecue. With the first set of official performers announced for the March 16-20 event, we have even more reason to look forward to skipping winter and heading right to the southern state.

I like the chillwave now and then, so Small Black (who I've actually seen before) and Toro Y Moi. I'd also say Starfucker, and although I just came across this blog today, I'm surprised you didn't highlight Naked And Famous. They could be sort of big soon. Cool Runnings could be... cool. I like the Star Slinger remix of their song I Am You. Fujiya & Miyagi may be worth checking as well.

I'm glad you didn't highlight MSTRKRFT. They suck imo.
