Electrolightz Present: Electronightz (free mixtape!)

For the past 7+ months, I've been a big ol' beastly-fan of the remix work as being pumped out by LA-boys, Electrolightz. So with a new mixtape available today, and for free no less, we can only continue on in singing the praises of Eroc, Name Brand, Rami Dearest, Barry Romance and Bo Bridges.

Electronightz is a 16-track stunner of a danceably-personable mixtape, in that it's easily digestible across a multitude of listeners. Pairing exclusive Electrolightz remixes that we've heard prior with many original songs (over familiar beats) from the dudes, this is a beginning-to-end hair raiser and hand clapper of a treat.

Track list is below, and a few choice cuts follow, along with the link to grab the mixtape in it's entirety. Also, if you find yourself in LA tonight, why not hit up the mixtape release party at Cinespace!

Beastly Bits #7

Sorry this is a bit late...but for once, I decided to sleep in (all the way til 7am!) and then it was straight to work for a 2 hour meeting. But hey, our slight delays don't downgrade the level of radness we've got below.

So here we go,...it's not breakfast, it's brunch. Either way, I'm starving for food and new tunes, so let's get rolling.

Dragonette joins Little Boots and Fan Death on their North American tour. Should be a pretty fly time. Score a ticket here. The XX and Ponytail are the newest additions to the Matt Groening-curated ATP Festival. We all know and love the former, but if you don't know the Baltimore pop band, I suggest you start listening immediately. My boys, Electrolightz, are back with another fantastic fix. This time, they take Diddy's new "supergroup", Dirty Money, and their single Angels and take it for a whirlwind spin. It's a free download below. Telephoned (the funky duo of Sammy Bananas and Maggie Horn) are prepping for the release of their first EP next week. To celebrate, they're giving away a free mixtape which has been rocking my thang for the past 2 days. Grab it here. Today only, Tina Turner's album, Tina!, is available for less than three bucks. Amazon has the exclusive, so get it here if you're a Turner lover like me!

Beastly Bits #4

Are we sick of this cold weather yet, NYC? (and wherever you may be) Seems like everything is in a state of deep freeze in 2010, am I right?

Let's defrost some goodies and get warmed up with some piping hot radness!

White Panda are back with 2 new master mashes. First up is a Sia vs M.I.A. blend, but I'm really digging on their Cascada vs Jeremih mix. Dancefloor Sex indeed! Both are available as free downloads below.

Pedestrian talked with Patrick Wolf about all sorts of rad and random things in a video interview. Check it out here.

Those bad[ass] boys, Electrolightz, recently took a trip to San Francisco and documented their travels. Watch the madness ensue here.

Vice teams up with Scion A/V for this Thursday, January 14's, Scion Garage Show featuring Mannequin Men and Jack Oblivian & the Tennessee Tearjerkers. The event is at Bruar Falls and it's free, but you have to RSVP here.

Tickets for the Johnny Cash 78th Birthday Bash at Southpaw on February 26 are on sale. Alex Battles & the Whiskey Rebellion will perform. Secure a spot here.
