Kid Sister: Repping Bud Light Lime and She's One of the "TBA" Artists for The Pool Parties

'Tis true! And I have no video evidence to prove the first half of this mystery-revealing post. Stellar reporting here, really. But I can offer this piece of proof that occurred during last evening's television time in Beastonia. Also, her producer confirmed it here, so facts are facts: Santigold's Lights Out has FINALLY been ousted by Kid Sister's Daydreaming as the official song to soundtrack the national campaign for Bud Light Lime. Love both you ladies...still hate the beer.

 

 

Naturally, once video is uploaded from somewheres, I'll re-visit this post and freshen it up with the clip.

  

Now for the second piece of information: when Jelly announced their Pool Parties lineup, a number of TBA acts filled the bills. Doing some Sherlock-spyglass-detective work centering around the August 22 event, we can conclude that KS will be performing at the Williamsburg Waterfront. How so?

 

As of now, the lineup for that date still reads as: Chromeo, TBA, The Suzan, Telephoned. Now if you you go to Sis' site, scroll down to "tour dates", and yep, she's on the docket. Super sleuthy, eh? FYI, she's also pals with all those artists, so it was kind of an obvious TBA mystery. Ta-dah!

Mr. Fogg - Stung (Dekker & Johan Vocal Mix)

Playing on his natural ability to combine light and dreamy aesthetics with sinister and dark undertones, Mr. Fogg's newest single, Stung, portrays the unique artist at his true genre-defying best. Having already had a great year for single releases, including Keep Your Teeth Sharp in January and the second single, Moving Parts, which featured the huge, crossover Jakwob remix, Mr. F now hits us with a creepier cut that chills us and thrills us all in the same breath. Remixes on the package come from two equally hot up-and-comers, with Ital Tek going for a high-paced skippy work-out complementing Jeuce’s sharp dubstep mix.

  

And of course we have a freebie for ya. Johan & Dekker's vocal mix takes Stung straight to a 3am dance-floor, and we're aced with the resulting long player. Grab it after you brush up on Fogg's upcoming Euro-dates, which you should probably make a habit of hitting.

Kid Sister - Daydreaming [Douster and Style of Eye Remixes]

Late last month, I dropped some hot info that Chicagoan emceestress, Kid Sister, would be hitting us with a new single from her debut album, Ultraviolet. Daydreaming, the Cee-lo featured softer jam with a backhanded slap of wow, easily went down as a highlight from her freshman offering.

 

Now with the track getting a proper single release on April 19 via Asylum, I'm super plussed non-fussed to give you additional remixes from two massive mixers. Last we checked in, Jakwob was getting all sorts of wobbly with his fix of the killer original.

Now, Douster, the Argentinian wonderboy spins us a minimalistic-jukey jaunt that plays up Kid Sis' Chicago early 90's house roots. Up next to bat is Style of Eye from Sweden. With a 7+ minute tour through Cee and Sis' vocals, he takes the song on an up-and-down jump and roll of a rad time.

Kid Sister New Tour Dates (and Jakwob Remix!)

The end of 2009 saw Kid Sister's star shoot fast and high, thanks to a solid debut album in Ultraviolet. So it's no surprise that she continues on this year riding her wave of success by offering a special thank you to fans...in the form of extending a number of tour dates throughout the Spring.

 

Last night, Kid Sister kicked off her latest round of tour dates at the Voyeur in San Diego. She continues tonight through April 10 on a North American tour with additional dates to be announced soon.
