Kimbra - Cameo Lover (Shook Remix)

**EXCLUSIVE**

We know Kimbra. We love Kimbra. We know Shook. We love Shook. So when a super duper Dutch producer in the latter grabs a hold of a New Zealander's song stylings in the former... magic happens, and we're pretty darn pleased to toss it in your direction.

Kimbra - Cameo Lover (new single and video!)

We know and love Kimbra as someone who "settles down" as well as provides impeccably-lovely vocals to Miami Horror's I Look to You, but now we look forward (and oh yeah, we really do) to new tunes from the talented New Zealander. So, in light of this new clip, we write, nay "copy-paste", this bit of info: "Cameo Lover is the second single, after Settle Down. Her album is due towards the end of the year and we PROMISE it's going to be available on US iTunes and whatnot when that happens... lotta ppl asking." Bah-BOOM! Now enjoy the semi-Oh Mickey You're So Fine-ish styled video below.

Miami Horror - Echoplex (new video!)

Herein lies one of the sexiest clips you'll see this week, and it's not for any gratuitous exposure of flesh or freaked out actions. No, Miami Horror's new video for Echoplex instead focuses on the little and intimate details of human interactions that are ever so slight and sensual enough to make your skin tingle. The song is also aces as can be, and features vocals from MAI.

And while we're on the subject of awesomeness, Go Go Bizkitt remixed MH's I Look to You, which corrals the tones of New Zealander, Kimbra.

Double dose of amazing stuff from down under this morning!

Introducing: Kimbra

Earlier this week, I touched on the awesome quality of Kimbra's voice, thanks to her collaboration with Miami Horror for their upcoming debut album, Illumination. Aside from their stellar production, it was her crisp and unique tones that immediately stood out. With that said, we're giving the New Zealander her own headlining piece within the Beaston-files today. It's well-deserved.

On her debut single, Settle Down, Kimbra enlisted the rad power of producers Francois Tetaz (Architecture in Helsinki and Gotye) and Aussie-dude, M-Phazes (Amerie and Pharoahe Monch), to construct a song that was equally parts fitting of her voice and quirky aesthetic. Kimbra notes that the song is, "a rhythmic collage of handclaps, cheeky horn parping and a ballooning bassline married to an escapist lyric about domesticity".

I say, this is an immediate go-to for repeated plays and I can't wait to hear more from the 20-year old up-and-comer.

Settle Down is taken from her forthcoming debut album, Vows. You can download it for free after watching the video, which is equally pleasing.

Miami Horror to Release Debut Album, Illumination, on August 20

Electro-house disco-pop throwback-heads rejoice...Melbourne's Miami Horror are releasing their debut album, Illlumination, on August 20 via Virgin. Long a staple of disc-spinners whence the Braxe/Falke production quota was at a feverish high two years ago, the Aussie foursome are now prepped and primed to unleash their original productions, and boy are we ever ready.

In April, the blokes released the first single, Moon Theory, and subsequently followed the release of the track with their same-named tour across their homeland. US dates are popping up as we speak, and they'll climb behind the decks at Webster Hall on September 10. Info here.

Alternately, this post was almost serviced as an introduction to the velvet-voiced Kimbra, who appears on the MH song, I Look To You, which serves as the album's second official single. You're getting it for freezies below, but definitely check out the solo work of the New Zealand singer too. Stellar!

Get in on the track list (which comes with a bonus disc of fine fixes). Buy Illumination here.
