This serves as a post I'd normally title "Introducing White Sea", aka Morgan Kibby, vocalist of M83 who's doing her own solo stint now. However, I'd like to take a moment to let you know that herein lies the one song that you probably are not yet listening to, but definitely should be. Repetitiously.
Because she's so nice, with a soothing supple voice to match, Kibby is giving away her EP, The Frontier, for free...or if you're feeling charitable, hit her with some scrilla by going the iTunes route.
On said disc, is the song Ladykiler, a slow builder that crescendos and discos all over your soul. There's hints of Bjork, The Golden Filter, Marina Gasolina, Bat For Lashes and more powerful female vocalist and instrumentalists throughout the course of this three-and-a-half minute escapade. Easily a song you can bang to or break up to, also...
...it's 100% Beaston approved. If you don't dig this, we are no longer friends.
