North Carolina's Machinedrum, aka Travis Stewart, is a master of lushy and glitchy keyboard sequencing and techy beats. Right up our alley. For the better part of the decade, he's been vital in the launch and management of Merck and Normex Records, and that's all fine and well, but it's his own music that's got our ears perked up today.
With 2 new records out in stores now, you have your choice as to which route you wanna go down. I suggest both, but hey, that's just my opinion.
First is Machinedrum's Many Faces, which is a 6-track EP on 12″ vinyl, with a digital download option. It includes a remix by Bok Bok (digital-exclusive) and the limited edition box set includes Many Faces T-Shirt, 12″ and exclusive Tstewart album on cassette tape. Preview the EP here. It's limited to 100 copies, so make your move now.
Then there's Sepalcure's Love Pressure, which is the debut release of a new project he's started with Praveen Sharma (of Percussion Lab). It's 4-track EP on 12″ vinyl, again with the digi-option available. Remixes coming soon. Preview at this link and buy it here.
