Natalia Kills - Mirrors (Frankmusik Obsidian Overkill Remix)

Here in Beastonia, we love getting slain by good tunes. So goes the case with Natalia Kills' Mirrors, and now the equally dark and daring remix from Frankmusik. Oh, this is murdering my mind in all the right ways.

Couple of pieces of info you should probably make yourselves familiar with...

The video for Mirrors will be unveiled on Thursday, and was co-directed by Ms. Kills herself (watch the preview here). She's recently wrapped up tours with Robyn and Kelis...what! Natalia's debut album, Perfectionist, will be out in March 2011 via Cherrytree/Interscope, and she will be featured on a Frankmusik track on the duder's forthcoming album.

Busy beast, that one, eh?

Natalia Kills' Mirrors EP is Out Today; Official Remix from Purple Crush

Today marks the release of Natalia Kills' Mirrors remix EP which contains four mixes of the single by Moto Blanco, Sketch Iz, Doctor Rosen Rosen and Purple Crush. The latter two we've already been privy to, and even had the distinct pleasure of premiering the DRR MIX on EVR's Belly of the Beast when Natalia joined me in studio for a proper chat in September.

Mirrors remix

The video for Mirrors, we're told, will premiere soon. It was filmed in LA and directed by Natalia and her Parisian production collaborator Guillaume Doubet, whom she created the first installments of short films titled Love, Kills, xx earlier this year.

Mirrors is taken from her debut album, Perfectionist, due out in early 2011. Buy the Mirrors Remixes EP on iTunes now.

I'm pretty pumped to offer up our home boy and girl, Purple Crush's official remix of the song for your audible attention. They take the song from dark and sultry to positively pop pleasure. Grab it on the free tip below!

Natalia Kills and Robyn to Tour Together This Fall

Last week, ish got real "fashion-y" here in Beastonia. Between a number of night parties and the always fun Fashion's Night Out, this sheen little streetstomper hit a handful of cool venues and digs all in the spirit of "oh hey, who are you wearing?!" And while I've never been one to preen a ton, music and fashion go kind of hand in hand, which led me to the Prince Peter preview on Wednesday, specifically to catch the first live performance in NYC by Natalia Kills. Grouping together all of this info with the fact that she's just been announced as the supporting act for Robyn's forthwith Fall tour, we're gearing up to stomp stilettos on necks through the rest of the year!

Natalia's performance at the aforementioned event was brief, as she powered through a short medley of 3 songs: Zombie, Wonderland and Mirrors, the latter is one I simply have not been able to turn off since hearing it in full a few months prior. She commanded the platform for the few minutes she occupied it, and I'm excited to see a full stage from her...and soon we'll all be able too when she joins forces with the Swedish popstar on their North American tour.

Additionally, it should be noted that Ms. Kills came through Belly of the Beast on East Village Radio last Thursday as well. We had a rad chat, and even debuted the brand new and official Doctor Rosen Rosen remix of Mirrors.

There are more pictures from the event here, a video below, and after that, the tour dates for the upcoming Natalia Kills and Robyn trek. Color me excited!

Introducing: Natalia Kills

When you enter the realm of all things beastly, you're gonna get hit with a lovely sprinkling of music from all genres. And then on certain occasions, we go waaay into guilty pleasure mode and pull out a "trashy banger" (honestly meant in the most complimentary fashion...seriously), and get that ish on repeat like a boss. So let's give a hello to Natalia Kills. She's been on our radar, and a bunch of our friends' sites over the past few months, but it's time we give her due props. Onward!

Natalia Kills is a British artist (she's actually half-Jamaican and Uruguayan!), who's recently been signed to Cherrytree Records. She's had a few singles circulating, including Activate My Heart and Zombie, but it's her newest single, Mirrors, that's got me in a ridiculous frenzy. After the teaser went up earlier this week, the full track eventually found its way out, and I'd be lying if I said it wasn't one of my most played songs as of late.

The song is both apt for radio play and perfect for late night grinds and grooves. Plus, when you've got lyrics like, "turning the lights out // tighten the handcuffs // and the mirrors gonna fog tonight...", I mean whoa...hot.

Keep an eye and ear out for her in coming weeks, cause I expect beastly-amazing things from Camp Kills. She'll make your love grenade explode.
