Everything Everything Cover Rihanna's What's My Name on Radio 1's Live Lounge

This happened on Tuesday morning, but it's about to tickle your fancy today. Everything Everything, that British art rock band who draw wildly affecting sounds of math rock, post-punk and electropop into one fun substance, took to BBC Radio 1's Live Lounge, and as all good performers do, went with a cover of a currently popular tune. Oh nah nah, what's their name? Everything Everything doing doing Rihanna Rihanna justice justice with with What's My Name, What's My Name.

Snagging backing vocals from Sunday Girl (who previously wowed us with a revision of EE's Photoshop Handsome) and Lianne La Havas, their funky, reggae-tinged and soulful cover of the chart-topper has me begging for more.

Hey, let's play it again... Oh nah nah, oh ya ya!

Watch This Now: Rihanna Performs Medley at the American Music Awards

That is a misleading post title, because while I'm demanding you watch this clip of Rihanna performing live to open the AMA's earlier this evening, I'd also suggest that you do not view the video if you are a fan of excessive hip thrusts and crotch twirls. Simply, it may lead to spontaneous combustions if that's yer sort of "thing". Oh also, her voice sounds great during this medley of Love the Way You Lie, What's My Name and Only Girl (in the World), which can all be found on her current album, Loud. Katy, Christina, Miley who? Ri Ri is reppin' for us tan grrrrlls and she's killing everyone else in her path.

Rihanna - Only Girl (In The World) (Cosmic Dawn Radio Edit)

We already know I love the new direction Rihanna's heading in with some fresh and fun songs. On top of that, Cosmic Dawn has long been a mainstay within my writings, thanks to his upbeat jaunts through cuts we already love. He just makes 'em that much better, wetter, radder and right on.

And so goes the case with Cosmic Dawn's take on new single Only Girl (In The World), wherein he interpolates the key chords a bit and gives the song a much more uplifting feel about it.

And guess what? This may or may not be an official remix. JUST saying.

Yours, mine and ours below!

Rihanna - Who's That Chick

Well looky here...one day left of the season, and I now have my official summa jam. Sure there's been ruminations of rad tracks that were contending for my top spot, but I held out...and thankfully did so, because Rihanna's new song hits all the right buttons. Yep, I'm going there.

After last week's official release of new single, Only Girl (in the World), which I also love like a boss, another dance-ifiably awesome new tune (Who's That Chick) surfaced, complete with a colorfully janky new video to boot. Now, the Barbadian beauty has taken to her twitter account to note that this leaked visual and audial output was shot in conjunction with Doritos, to help promote the brand, and is in no part related to upcoming album, Loud, although the production value and credit of David Guetta would immediately lend one to believe otherwise.

So let's get this straight. Two of my most favorite things in the world are joining forces. CHIPS and TRASHY POP BANGERS. I approve wholeheartedly.

The song is such a fun slice of awesome that it was constantly on repeat here in Beastonia over the weekend, I made friends listen via miPod and headphones even when out on the town and it's legitimately that one fun fix of a number that I'd been hoping to hear throughout the summer.

Who's That Chick is 100% Beaston approved...the video, well, that's another story. But you can decide on that for yourself below.

The Pretty Reckless - Love The Way You Lie vs Islands (Eminem, Rihanna vs The XX Cover)

This happened on the BBC's Radio 1 Live Lounge. The Pretty Reckless power their way through a mashed up rendition of The xx's Islands and Eminem and Rihanna's current chart topper, Love the Way You Lie.

I kind of dig it.

Eminem (featuring Rihanna) - Love the Way You Lie (new video!)

"Just gonna stand there and watch me burn...well that's alright, because I like the way it hurts." Yes, Eminem's song, Love the Way You Lie, featuring the purred chorales of Rihanna, has been out for well more than a hot minute. But upon first hearing the chart-topping tune a ways back, something struck up an emotional chord with me and I had to keep it under wraps, or I'd have started blubbering like a beastly baby. Feelings!

This Megan Fox and Dominic Monaghan featuring clip for the song enhances the things the track makes me feel. Good on y'all...making a girl cry.

Also...LIP SNARLS! (:10 mark)

Cracked over a hundred bits two days ago...and yet the weather still seems to coincide as we climb higher. How about this humidity, New York? Get out of here with that!

Remember when that unreleased Rihanna track, Sexuality, came out last year? It samples Prince's Controversy. I initially loved it, but why not mix the two songs up together...cause that's what Manchester duo, Clique, did. Highly rad, Beaston approved and yours to grab below.

Rihanna - Te Amo (new video!)

Rihanna just debuted a new video for Rockstar 101 earlier this week...but who really gives two ishes now that the clip of Te Amo is out. Word to the wise, if you are at work and your officemates disapprove of steamy and suggestive actions of the RiRi-on-Girl variety, then I suggest closing your door before clicking play. Y'all been warned.

This is a fan favorite on her latest album, Rated R, and while Rihanna is still touring in support of the effort, she's also dropping many a hints that her next offering (which she's working on now) is going to be her best music to date. That remains to be seen and heard.

In the meantime, get sexy by watching the Barbadian beastly-beauty and co-star Laeticia Casta in the Anthony Mandler-directed video below.

Sure this whole act isn't unique, but wowza...girl crush confirmed, eh?
