Stream This Now: Savage Skulls' Caravan/Watching You EP Preview

It's out on Valentines Day via Sound Pellegrino, and it's quite possibly the best bit of ear lovin' you could ask to be gifted with on said holiday. "It" being Savage Skulls' brand new EP, Caravan / Watching You, which yes, features those two new tracks as well as a couple of fix ups and dubs to supplement the offering.

Savage Skulls & Robyn - Bad Gal (new video)

Only been loving on this song like, um, well over some year+ status now. And sure, we've writ about it in bits and pieces since hearing the eensiest weensiest snippet of it, but in full, Savage Skulls and Robyn's Bad Gal is in part, infectious and in whole, beastly. And now, we've got official clippage of the cut, meaning, ay yo, it's the video! Love love love.

CJ Milli and iSkream Social - Sibling Rivalry (free mixtape!)

Um, holy crap you guys. CJ Milli is my main lady who wrecks behind the decks, and little did I know that she has a younger sister who also cranks out handclappers on the wheels of steel, but yeah, she does, and this ish is poppin' me off right now. Lil' sis goes by the name iSkream Social (keeeeyoooot!) and this mixtape is fittingly dubbed Sibling Rivalry (keeeyooooter!).

Clocking in at just under 20 minutes, these two gals drilled a hole right into my heart with a healthy portion of both well-known and obscure fixes that simply refuse to quit on ya. Yeah it's all of 9:00pm here in NYC, but Beastonia has just turned into a rave cave.

Giving you that good track list, then stream it, or download it here.

Savage Skulls & Douster (ft Robyn) - Bad Gal

YOU GUYS: I've only been waiting for this song for 3 solid months. Patiently very impatiently I grew, but today, we wait no longer for the Savage Skulls and Douster track, which features the ever-impressive Robyn on vocals. The song...is Bad Gal.

The song is also...AMAZING. Tuesday win! The track comes off the upcoming Skulls & Douster EP Get Rich or High Trying. out tomorrow on Beatport.

I've concocted a hard and fast rule: this jam should be played at every bar, party, dj set and what not from now until the seasons turn colder. And if it's not, I will throw a temper tantrum, whenceforth, making me a very bad gal...or mad beast. See what I did there. Title tricks.

Play it!

Oh Land - Sun of a Gun Remixes and Interview on East Village Radio

Last night, I welcomed the Brooklyn-via-Denmark singer, Oh Land, into the East Village Radio studio. Not only did we chat about her music and her former career as a dancer in the Danish Royal Ballet, but we were given the exclusive oportunity to have the first official play and debut of the Savage Skulls remix of her current single, Sun of a Gun.

Now, we all know that I love my Scandinavian territory based tunes, so when you slap the Swedish skills of the Skulls over the Danish delights of Oh Land's original, well damn it, that's just about the perfect recipe to make me melt.

Treats for all this morning...you can download that very mix over at East Village Radio here. And as a bonus, you can grab both the Yuksek remix and the original of Sun of a Gun below.

Additionally, give a listen to the interview from last night's Belly of the Beast here. Adorably wonderful.

Robyn - Love Kills (new song!)

Fortunately for us, and moreso unfortunately for the artist, Robyn's Body Talk Pt 2 leaked last week, and unless you've been on a sans-technological vacation, then you've probably already got the entire thing in your greedy little paws. Hell, we do, and we're not ashamed to admit it. But now it's time to give a little more than my "OMG WOWIE ZOWIE" tweets and twips...further we dive, into the depths of the awesome.

In going back through a multitude of Swede-singer dolloped posts from the past few months, I noticed a trend beginning back in March, when clips of 4 new songs surfaced in a documentary for a cable station in her homeland. Three of those had already been revealed on Body Talk Pt 1, but the last, known solely as Looking for Love, was still left unturned and unheard. After the BTP2 track list was revealed and did not hold said song title, this beast's heart sank a little.

Enter the leak of BTP2 and welcome the song Love Kills; which caught me off guard because it is, in fact, that one song I had so desperately been longing to hear in full. It was in that moment in which I literally leaped out of my chair and squealed...completely taking me by surprise in the best way possible. Savage Skulls work the production on this glistening and gargantuan dancer, which we'd fallen in love with even when heard in demo-style in this clip. (starts right at the beginning through the first 22 seconds)

Yes I am obsessed with Love Kills. And to think...it's not even the best cut from Body Talk Pt 2. Nope, that goes to Hang With Me, Dance to the Beat or Criminal Intent if you're still itching for a toe-tapper, or the proverbial favorite across all wanting listeners, Indestructible (acoustic). Robyn, you are #killingme, and I love it.

Savage Skulls (featuring Robyn) - Bad Gal

Shit, beasts. Why has no one been talking about this track, when, in all it's potentiality form, could very well be one of the biggest choons of the year? Maybe because there's been little to no information surrounding it, but thanks to a bit of the net diggings, I can offer up a splash of stuff surrounding Savage Skulls upcoming track with Robyn...Bad Gal.

Ok, so maybe I fibbed a bit? But there's not a whole lot to know about this jawn. Other than, the original, which still remains to be heard, a little lot of sleuthing led me to find a snippet of Crookers' remix of the song.

Additionally, Douster mixed up a bit of Busy Signal and Vybz Kartel with the track and stream it we shall.

And that, in a nutshell, is the mystery song that I'm most looking forward to hearing in the coming weeks. Anyone got more info on the developments? Feel free to let a beast know.
