Peter Gabriel - Sledgehammer (Streetlab Remix)

**EXCLUSIVE**

If there's one thing music lovers need more of, it's Peter Gabriel. And of course a helping hand from our pals, Streetlab. Oft-featured within these pages, thanks to their mix of rad reworks and fixes along with a tasty repertoire of original tunes (did you know that their album, Auto Spkr is out now?), I'm pretty damn well pumped to toss some new and exclusive tracks your way. Your Monday morning is about to get so hot.

After a killer reception to their first 2 singles, NYSound and Rat Racer, from their recently-released album, Streetlab hit us up with another cut from the offering. Take Care once again enlists the sultry vocals of Noelle, and takes the listener on a glitchy and liquidy ride of the sexiest proportions. And hey, if you don't like what you hear (but really, you totally are going to), then you can give a go at remixing the song. Shoot the dudes an email here with the subject line "REMIX: TAKE CARE" and they'll get you stems.

And on to the Gabriel. Streetlab worked out an intense remix of the legendary tune, Sledgehammer, and yeah, it smashes, much like the title of the track suggests. This will be included on their upcoming Bootleg Remixes, Volume 2

So many fist-pumps are happening right now.

Streetlab Ready Debut Album and 2 Free Tracks!

Our buddies Coz and Ryan have been somewhat quiet lately, or so it seems. The duo, known more familiarly as Streetlab, are an NYC-staple of nightlife pleasures and nifty productions. So we'll back 'em up and say, no, they haven't been hiding, they've just been mega busy prepping their full length debut, out on April 20.

Making a name for themselves by remixing classic rock songs with club-ready beats, Streetlab quickly burrowed a place in my heart with dance-floor filler fixes of Hall and Oates and The Doors, but it's their original tunes that we're super geeked about today.

On deck is Rat Racer, their first single of the debut, which is available on iTunes now. The cut features Noelle on vocals and mixes a steady thump with the delicate handiwork that makes their tracks both unique and widely acceptable. Additionally, we're dishing out Lay Me Back, which pairs DJ Van Scott's pipes with the boy's precision production.

Bonus! Streetlab are making an appearance at the Union Square Best Buy on March 12. We'll see you there...or else.
