Maximum Balloon (featuring Theophilus London) - Groove Me (T-Minus 321 Remix)

Holy shades of Madonna's Lucky Star in this intro! We all know how big a fangirl I am of T-Minus 321's remixes, and considering I've been mega-crushing on Maximum Balloon for a good portion of my most recent listenings, then it's kind of a no-brainer that the two come together on this fix.

No more words. I can't afford 'em, cause I'll be too busy dancing to this rework of Groove Me, featuring Theophilus London.

Maximum Balloon (featuring Theophilus London) - Groove Me (Jneiro Jarel Remix)

Oh, don't worry. This is only the best mix you'll hear all day.

Maximum Balloon, Theophilus London and Jneiro Jarel...take it away!

Theophilus London (featuring The Dap-Kings) - Calypso Blues (Nat King Cole Cover)

Furthering on as to why I'll always be in Theophilus London's corner, the dude continues to wow with a new take on a classic song, keeping his own originality coursing throughout the cut. Syncing up with Sharon Jones' backers, The Dap-Kings, London tackles Nat King Cole's Calypso Blues in this new cover joint.

Additionally, I realized that I never really got around to posting anything from HARD NYC, so while we're at it, check out some pictures from TL's set here, and below, you can peep a video of he and Jesse Boykins III getting their serious soul on during a live performance of Sorry to Interrupt.

Bad. Ass.

Theophilus London - New Cover, Song and Video (Free Mixtape out April 28)

With a new mixtape that we hinted at earlier this year (which subsequently was delayed, otherwise, DUH, why would we be announcing it with an April 28 release date now), Theophilus London is ready to jump back into your main focal areas. And get this...dude is freaking SANGIN' some real lovers' ish on these new tracks. We knew he had a great set of pipes but damn boy, you've one-upped yourself again.

Here's the deal: I Want You will be released on April 28. London's already shared a cut from the free album...Life of a Lover, featuring his pal Jesse Boykins III. Now he's ganging up with the twitter steez and has let out a new cut, Accept the New, with an accompanying video.

The new jam is actually a rework/remix/layover of Dam Funk's Fantasy and features guest vocals from Va$htie and Boykins once again.

Watch the video below then jump after for the track and his new cover of Tweet's Oops (Oh My)

Theophilus London - Humdrum Town (videoke version)

Last week, Theophlius London popped by with his video for Humdrum Town. We saw it, we loved it, and now we have more to get down to!

Now, he's released the Videoke video that was used within the original video. Um, say what! Ok, the scene where you see London in a field, with the lyrics going across the screen? That's like karaoke, eh? Hence: videoke. How about this. Just watch it and you'll get where we're headed.

Theophilus London - Humdrum Town (new video!)

2009 was undoubtedly a "break through" year for Theophilus London, however, 2010 will (and mark my words) be the time that this magnificent performer crosses all boundaries with a speeding bullet.

In early oh-nine, London swarmed Beastonia with his This Charming Mixtape, a fitting follower to his first free release, Jam! An eclectic mix of hip-hop and soul, Theophilus' productions sparked a massive admiration from myself and many friends and colleagues. Late last year, London released a fullly mastered and beefed up version of Humdrum Town via Green Label, The original can be heard on This Charming Mixtape, but this new rendition features additional vocals from Jesse Boykins III while keeping the same passionate intonations as the much shorter original. Later today, the new video for the track will debut on MTV2, but you gotta love our wide world of interneticism and the fact that you can watch the fresh visuals right now.

I'm digging the casual, cool vibe of this video. The track never fails to send a chill up my spine at the :54 second mark when Theophilus exclaims "OH!" and the chorus kicks in. In addition to the extremely unique and totally rad music he keeps coming out with, he bought me gum on my birthday...so there's simply not a bad yarn I could ever spin about him.
