So far, every morning this week I've woken up thinking it was Thursday. Day counting fail. Alas, it's hump day and we're struggling to reach the top so we can sail through the remainder of this work set.
Yawn. That was a bore. This music news is not.
Jarvis Cocker has released an album made up of recordings of sounds such as birdsong and footsteps for the National Trust. Love Jarvis...hate birds. link
Apparently that Joaquin Phoenix pseudo-fake/real rap documentary is pretty shocking. link
Breakfast of Champions have a new jawn, free for downloading. Grab Light On Us below.
UNKLE's Follow Me Down video has premiered. It's pretty NSFW in a most gorgeous way. link
Gucci Mane's free, but the bigger news in Mad Decent camp is the Diplo and Tiësto collaboration, C'Mon. Buy it here and have a preview below.
Holy heart attacks and sweat storms! Ou Est Le Swimming Pool first caught my attention just over a year ago by brushing up a Lily Allen jam and turning it into a smooth and sensual kickback cut. If I didn't know any better, I'd think this new bit wasn't by the same lads. Sure, Tiesto has a hand in the switch-up, but regardless, OELSP still warrant consideration for These New Knights. Varieties...we dig 'em.
Yet another cracking tune to add to their increasingly respected repertoire, Ou Est Le Swimming Pool grind out an awesomely slinky cut. Having already featured the original (with video), along with the killer JOCKS remix, today we turn up the heat and provide everyone a great reason to "chance". That's chair dance...because I assume everyone is trudging along at work, much like I am.
Hey Tiesto, let's crank it up...way past 11. Buy the single here.
Back in September of last year, many kids including myself, got all sorts of giddy at the announcement of album track list, which hosted a variety of novelly-interesting vocal matchups.
First up, was the Tegan and Sara sung, Feel It In My Bones, a pulsing and passionate anthem that drives through your, well, bones for lack of a better phrasing.
