White Lies - Bigger Than Us (new single and video!)

**UPDATED**

I'll be the first to admit that White Lies' debut album, To Lose My Life..., really didn't sit so high on my be[a]st of '09 lists. But I will also be the first to eat crow if I start shellacking the boys when their impending 2011 disc, Ritual, comes 'round, because if first single, Bigger Than Us, is any indication of the direction they're heading, then clear some space on the bandwagon for my beastly butt.

 

 

Ritual is the second studio album bthe band, and is set for release on January 17 via Fiction Records. The album was produced by Alan Moulder and Max Dingel. The aforementioned lead single is due out on January 3, which just so happens to be my birthday.

 

And it's never too early to start reminding you about that.

The Kissaway Trail: New Remix from White Lies and Ticket Giveaway for Tonight's NYC Show!

Indie rock from Denmark? Sign me up. If you aren't already a fan of The Kissaway Trail, and their spectacular new album, Sleep Mountain, then let this be a nudge in the right direction for you. Drawing on influences from the likes of The Beach Boys to Sonic Youth, this Danish quintet recently rocked a number of rad performances in Austin during SXSW.

 

  

Cool dudes, White Lies, took on The Kissaway Trail's lead single, SDP, and gave it a rub of noise rock wash and we're tossing it to you for free. The Danes are currently on tour, and hey, they're swinging by Music Hall of Williamsburg tonight with The Temper Trap.
